What a powerful play. And so ironic that a year later we were having to all wear masks and endeavour through COVID. I enjoyed not only directing, but set designing this evocative piece of theatre. I incorporated the ensemble into several scenes and depicted the virus with a cloth, a ball of string, and people as germs. I really enjoyed having an actor depict the dead wife and using the coffin as a bench, a bunk, a church window, and of course, a coffin.
