On the Road...

This play was created as an outpouring of overlapping scripture guesses at the conversation between Jesus and the two men he walked with on the road to Emmaus. Luke says, "starting with Moses and the Prophets, he shared with them how the Messiah must suffer..." and I wondered what he said. There is a lot of Isaiah and the suffering servant in there, and a lot of Old Testament scriptures being highlighted through the events of the Passion. Originally created in 2002 for the Chemainus Ministerial and shared at Chemainus Theatre on Vancouver Island, BC.
